Math: Communication, Collaboration and Conceptual Understandings

Grade Level: Grade 9

Task: Grade 9 students at Crossing Park School were challenged to solve an ambiguous linear relations problem.  The parameters of the problem were such that students were required to work collaboratively to determine the most effective strategies to use in order to arrive at a reasonable and convincing solution.
