Gordon Crowchild growing up

Gordon Crowchild growing up"From the time I can remember as I was growing up I always heard about the first contestant to compete at the Calgary Stampede. His name was Tom Three Persons and he won the Calgary Stampede saddle bronc riding. So that's and then once I followed in that years after that me as a male person, a young boy, I used to watch the Calgary Stampede from the grandstand side across the race track and when I seen the Cowboy compete I always thought in my mind someday I'm going be like that man because many Indian Native boys took part in the Calgary Stampede from the Blood Reserve, to the Brocket, the Stony, the Sarcee, the Blackfeet, some from Tsuu’ Tina and the Cree always took part in the Calgary Stampede, all the major events. That's the first Calgary Stampede that I can remember"
