Native Rider Victory

Canadian Wins at StampedeCanadian Wins at Stampede

Breaking report: We just heard Tom Three Persons won at the Calgary Stampede riding the unrideable and unbeaten Cyclone.

Cyclone is a horse that has never been beaten. He is a black horse that had thrown about one hundred and thirty other cowboys.

Tom watched all the other cowboys try to ride Cyclone and saw what they did wrong. All the mistakes they made, Tom didn’t. Tom rode Cyclone by doing everything right and concentrating on what he doing and making sure to avoid any mistakes.

He was holding on really tight until the bell rang. Cyclone was really mad and he was trying to buck him off but every time Cyclone jumped, Tom would hit him with his spurs. Finally Cyclone stood still. Tom Three Persons won.

The crowed stood on their feet and cheered for Tom. The Native people were especially proud. They had a new hero. Tom won against all odds. He was the only Canadian who made the finals yesterday.

Tom Three Persons received $1000, a medal, a handmade trophy saddle, and a gold and silver mounted buckle.

This is one of the most exciting and talked about wins in rodeo history. One that is surely to live on for years to come.
