Beryl E. Exley

Dr. Beryl E. Exley is a senior lecturer in the Queensland University of Technology’s Faculty of Education, Cultural and Language Studies in Education.  Her research interests include scientific literacies and culture and school-based literacy practices. She believes lettered representations in print mode are no longer the dominant mass communication for any of us. In today’s world, literacy means being able to critically analyze a wide range of texts and contexts in order to take informed action.
